The Intern: Nancy Myers has given us some well crafted films that center on characters in their later years…..a highlight being It’s Complicated. Could she pull it off again and this time mix in a younger crowd with Anne Hathaway as a lead? Not quite. . I applaud the films’ message about how strong independent women should not feel guilty because of their success…..yet the very ending gave a mixed message on that subject matter. The Intern could have been much better with a little more focus on comedy.
