If you are making a comedy, but can’t zero in on that one cast member who can carry the film as a vehicle, why not make an Ensemble Comedy? Large cast comedies allow for more choices for joke telling as more combinations of personalities can create some hilarious situations. This week on CinemaJaw we take a look at the best examples of this as we cover our Best Ensemble Comedy films!

Joining us is a guy who knows about being in a comedic ensemble. You may know Tim Kazurinsky from his time on Saturday Night Live, or perhaps as Sweetchuck from the Police Academy films, but Tim got his start right here in Chicago at the famed Second City Theater. You may not know that he also penned the screenplay for the David Mamet adaptation and cult classic About Last Night (portions of which were filmed at our original “studio” The Original Mother’s). He’s also done lots of television with appearances on Curb Your Enthusiasm, Married with Children, According To Jim and more! As if all that wasn’t enough, you may have caught Tim on stage as the Wizard of Oz on the 1 st National Tour of Wicked… And now, another feather in his cap, Guest on CinemaJaw! Wow 😉

Thanks to Tim for being the first SNL cast member to be a guest.
