Some characters need no name. When the script is strong enough and the characterization is iconic enough… what’s in a name? This week on CinemaJaw we cover our favorite Unnamed Characters in film.
We are doing so in honor of this week’s guest William “Bill” Tokarsky. You may know Bill from the viral sensation Too Many Cooks (embedded below) that has garnered over 10 million views on YouTube. You may also know him from the myriad of films he has popped up in as an extra. You may know him from his indie film work in many short films. His self written IMDB bio states: “The accidental actor William Tokarsky is a limited talent hack, who gets booked on a look. He fell into character actor roles late in his life and has been obsessed with it. His cult following is for his Killer role in “Too Many Cooks” (2014) and he lucked up on getting his first SAG contract in “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” (2013). His ever expanding role on Adult Swim’s: “Your Pretty Face Is Going to Hell” has been his only TV show to work recurring . He really is Creepy Uncle Bill and his whole acting career can be summed up as just being Lucky, how else can we explain his success.” – He is also a little too modest.
So don’t give it a name. Just pop it into your earbuds and take a listen!
