Each month on CinemaJaw, we celebrate a particular actor, director, filmmaker or even genre.
This past month, March 2020, we celebrated Pixar – Looking through the entire Pixar catalog there were only 2 films that hadn’t been seen by both of us and we chose Monsters University to review this month. Now, we’re talking Pixar here, animation… we simply cannot have such a discussion without our resident Animation Expert, and pro animator himself, the man from the Fishtank… Pfil Fujiwara! Pfil marks his triumphant, albeit temporary, return to CinemaJaw to join us in our retro review of Monsters U.
A quick note: This episode was recorded just before we got ourselves some new remote recording gear and tech… It is certainly not a terrible recording, but not quite as good as we usually sound, and there are a few connectivity artifacts and distortions here and there. Cleaning all of that up is the reason this is also coming out just a bit late.
